Winter Wonderland - Monochromatic Christmas

Hello and it is a very, very wet Sunday here in London. Still we must not complain look at the suffering in Chile today. I want to introduce you to Harry Hen (Short for Harold or Harriet) I doodled this image and decided it worked for the Three French Hens in the 12 days of Christmas rhyme. If you like you can snag the picture and use it in a project. Let me know if you do as I would love to see it. It is usually best to open the image and right click and save to your computer as it will give a better quality picture.

Our theme at Winter Wonderland is Monochromatic Christmas. We would love to see you use one colour in your project in different tones and shades. I have chosen Blue for my colour.
I used My Craft Studio to create the image of three hens and the sentiment. I coloured the images with promarkers and sakura stardust pen. I added gems to the image too. I then stamped some snowflakes over the image to add some interest. I used MME paper and I added a co-ordinating cardstock which I punched with a Martha Stewart Punch. I added another sentiment and some more gems.

Our sponser this week is our very own Teri who is offering an exclusive stamping up stamp set to the lucky winner and you get to choose from four sets which one you want.

Mo Mannings challenge - Sketch

Hi there I made this card for the Mo Manning Challenge which is to use the sketch which is really fun and straightforward. I loved it!

I used this adorable baby image. I love the baby images over at Mo's digital pencil just fab. The papers are Bella Bella by MME and the image is coloured with Promarkers. I used some dewdrops to embellish and the sentiment is stamped with distress ink and then written over with a clear sakura gellypen.

Tuesday Taggers

This is my first time over at Tuesday Taggers but the theme looked like one I could not miss out on. The theme is to get Messy hands well I do this making most of my cards so had to join in. Also this week there is an awesom e prize from The Craft Barn of £15.00 vouchers.

This card was a labour of love and I really really had a blast making it.

I brought some dover clip art so this is what I used to create the main image on My Craft Studio. I used a border to create the frame and the image is an Art Nouveau royalty free one. I cut it out and added some gesso with the edge of a card and let it dry. I then went over it with some distress ink. I distressed some Bella Bella MME papers and added them to card stock. Onto which I stamped my sentiments and corners. I then added my flowers and I sprayed the whole card with glimmer mists. I then let it dry and added some more distress ink and then a distress crackle paint. The image on the card is coloured in with promarkers and prismas with sansador and I added some sepia accents to the sentiments and the image I also addes some gems for a bit of sparkle.

Think this may be Mum's card for Mothers Day!

Totally Papercrafts - Sue's Sketch

Hello well I have had a day of chores and I feel completely exhausted. I didn't bother taking my eldest daughter to Brownies as I am just too exhausted and there is a strong cold wind blowing so I didn't fancy dragging the kids out in the cold. I had a treat this afternoon though my TSV arrived from QVC so I am snuggling up with Tim Holtz later x LOL x

I have made this card for Totally Papercraft which has a gorgeous sketch from my lovely friend Scoopy Sue . They have a great prize of a happy hopper on offer too.

I used an image from a Royalty free Art Nouveau CD by Dover clipart. I coloured in with a mixture of promarkers, copics and prismas with sansador. I then added a crackle glaze over the top to make it look aged. I used my new MME Bella Bella papers which I vintaged up with some crackle glaze and my distress ink from the TSV. I added some roses as my embellishment and added some drops of glossy accents.

Eastenders, Lost (I love Jack) and Tim for me tonight my idea of heaven xxxx

Hi there first off I want to congratulate my friend Joey on her and her husbands new addition to there already gorgeous family ,baby Ella, born this morning weighing in at a healthy 8lbs 5oz must of been all the whizz bang LOL x

I have made this card for the Simon says stamp challenge which is Vintage and Flowers. Well I watched the mighty Tim Holtz on tv yesterday and I must say he seems so grounded and a really lovely bloke. I purchased the TSV so I am so excited about getting that in the post. I also popped over to the Simon Says Stamp store to stock up on some other Tim essentials x I decided to use flowers as my main image and to make some with my new die cuts Marianne design die cuts from Crafts U love.

I used an image by creative expressions this beautiful fuschia from the fuschia plate. I coloured in with my prismas I so love them. I used some distress ink around the image and I stamped some swirls onto the image and a bit of text. I distressed the edges with a craft knife. I added distress stickles to the image too. I cut a border from my new border die cut which lets you thread ribbon throught it. I distressed this with ink too. I cut the flowers out distressed them too and added a button.

Loved this one thanks girls!

Totally Papercrafts

Hi there the weather improved so we made it to Chinatown to see the celebrations for Chinese New Year. I nearly came home with less children than I went with. Gosh do they go crazy when a dragon or a lion appear in the street. It was crazy they were falling on top of my toddler in the buggy. I nearly lost two more as they got cut off from me. No one moved an inch to help me push my buggy through, each to their own came to mind. Still it was fun to see and we got a close up view of one dragon only I got claustrophobic so didn't stay ages.

I made it to Cass arts which sells packs of 5 promarkers for under a fiver and I picked up 20 sheets of Bristol board for £3.95 so it was not all bad.

This is my entry for the totally papercrafts challenge which this week wants us to incorporate spots into our projects. I have used my new Sweet Pea stamps again. I am totally addicted and needed to play again. I used prismas with sansador, promarkers and sakura stardust to colour in my image. I used a black promarker to fill in the white bits around the image I love this effect. I used phoebe papers from the digital range at Basic Grey. I resized them to 13 by 13 cm. I made some circles to compliment the image and I added a flower. I also used a cuttlebug embossing folder on some black card to create some dots which I coloured with sakura pens.

Winter Wonderland DT card - Sketch and open theme

Hi I hope you are all having a nice weekend even if the weather is miserable in most parts of the UK today. I hope it is nicer wherever you are today. We were meant to go to Chinatown in London for the Chinese New Year but that looks unlikely as the rain is not going away.

Anyway the weather is perfect for a spot of crafting. I hope you may join us this week at Winter Wonderland where we have an open theme and a sketch by me. This is the second sketch I have done.

Also this week we are sponsered by the lovely Christine Dark who kindly donated the DT some images and also is offering a prize of four digi images from her digital stamp collection as a prize.

Okay my image (from Christine) is coloured with prismacolours and sansador, promarkers and sakura stardust pens. I have found a combination of mediums is the best technique for me. I used MME papers and I created a frame and tree from My craft studio programme. I added some ribbon and some corner stamps which are by Clarity stamps .

Myself and the DT are looking forward to seeing what you create this week. Thanks for all your support. x

Anne (you can find a link to her amazing blog in my sidebar) my teamie on the Winter Wonderland also gave me this beautiful award. I am passing it to all crafters in blogland as you all inspire me in some way so please feel free to take it.

Found a New challenge blog!!!

Hi there I am really excited as today I came across a new challenge blog. Not only is it for one of my favourite craft companies they are having a DT call too. So I have made a card for both the challenge and the DT call. The challenge is called Its a crafters companion . There is a great prize on offer of a flower fairies stamp set. This time the challenge is to take inspiration from the photo so hop over and see the photo and create a card.

I would love to be considered for the DT because I love using crafters companions stamps, CD roms of which I have a small collection, I also use the ultimate board a lot in my crafting. I love to use the accessories such as the sprays that crafters companion produce. I would love to be able to be an embassador for these brill products.

I used the colours purple and black and the stripes as my main inspiration.
I have used the clean and simple look again. I used one of my Just Because Popcorn the bear romance stamps as the image. I coloured in with prismacolours and sansador. I outlined with a copic pen to create a shadow. I added a sentiment from the same stamp set and I sprayed with my spray and shine spray also from crafters companion . I dry embossed some lines using my ultimate board. I then cut some slits in the card at equal measurements and added a striped ribbon and I added some gems too.

I am hoping to go to Trafalgar Square tomorrow so I am hoping the weather stays lovely like today here in London. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday x I am going to have a chinese meal and snuggle up under a blanket and watch telly x

Mo Mannings digital pencil challenge

Oh blast I just relised I used two ribbons and the challenge at Mo's digital pencil is to print or stamp your image onto cardstock and use one ribbon. I will share with you anyway as I just think this is one of the most adorable images "Siku and Shaya" of Mo's and I had a ball colouring it and refraining from using stash. I must say the liberty to use colours is very open when you use an image on a card like this.

I have been relising recently that my prefered choice of Medium at the moment is prismacolours I find they give so much depth to an image and i love the texture of them.

Another ATC - for two challenges

Hi there I had a fantastic meal last night with my Mum to celebrate our birthdays that fell last month. We went to a restaurant that is a short walk from my flat. The food all comes from the Middle East. I had a persian dish recommended by the persian waiter. Fantastic dish and a wonderful Lebanese red to wash it down with. I also enjoyed a fab starter. I was very amused by the belly dancer too. It is fantastic but it felt a little bit like I was in a lap dancing club. The man next to us was very upset that it was not on for longer I felt so sorry for his wife x Anyway back to art and crafts LOL x

I have made this ATC for two challenges. I love this stamp unfortuately the stamp does not stamp one of the eyes very well. I have tried everything to get it to give a good impression but it just won't. I know that occasionally this happens with rubber stamps. Still I endeavoured to make this atc for two challenges. The challenge at Something completely different is to make an atc with the theme of keys. The challenge over at Sweet pea stamps blog is to make an atc using a sweet pea image and only three colours oops too late for that one just went to post it and found out that it has finished.

I used acrylics, promarkers and sakura pens on the image. I layered the image flat onto a glimmermisted background. I added some gems and a shrink plastic key embellishment. I cut out the letters from OK magazine.

Sketch and stash meets Passion for Promarkers!

Hello I hope you will not get bored with my new obsession which is Sweet Pea stamps LOLx I am going to try the Mo Manning challenge next as I visited there this morning and was blown away by the stunning DT creations and have been itching to make my card.
In the meantime I have been busy with my new stash. I have made a card to fit two challenges. Firstly sketch and stash which has a challenge to make a card using the sketch and your stash either new or neglected. Well mine is all new. I used my new Sweet Pea image "The Serene Night" I do not usually do oriental but this image blew me away and I had to get her. I also used my digital Basic grey urban couture papers that I resized on my PC. Over at Passion for Promarkers the challenge is any colour and a theme of buttons and bows.

More sweet pea and multi challenge card

Well I have not much to say as it is dull and wet again today and I have just been indoors playing with my new stash. Oh wow these are so beautiful to work with hop over to Sweet Pea stamps and take a look at the fantastic collections on offer. I am just so having fun colouring in these beauties.

This stamp is Love is gone by the fabulous artist ching-chou kuik. I am entering this card into three challenges this week. I am entering it into Truely scrumptious who are celebrating their birthday. I used the fabby sketch. I am entering it into Cute card Thursday which has a theme of metal mania. I used a metallic gold prismacolour pencil for the dress and the moons and metal eyelets and a metal pin. I am also entering it into Papertake Weekly which has a theme to check this out so I used some red gingham ribbon.

I used a combination of mediums to colour in this image i used prismacolours, promarkers and copics and sakura stardust and gelly pen. I sprayed the finished image with a craft varnish. I used a new digital paper download by Basic grey these ones are from scarlet's letter collection. I used my graphics program to make them 13cm by 13 cm so as not to waste ink. I used some ribbon, eyelets, roses, pin and beads from my stash to create the embellishment and some co-ordinating cardstock from my stash. To make the two panels I used my deckle rectangular nesties.

Simon Says stamp recipe and I got my Sweet Pea stamps!!!

Hi there my Sweet Pea stamps arrived yesterday so I thought I must ink them up today and use them for the Simon says stamp challenge . The challenge at Simon says stamp is a recipe and there is a blog hop with awesome prizes so go over and check it out. I used my prisma colours to colour in and my sakura stardust pens. For my skin tones I always use a combo of promarkers and copics. I used K and co papers two papers are allowed in the recipe (and co-ordinating card stock) The one image is off course Poppy Love (my favourite flower) and my three different types of embellishment are ribbon, flowers and tiny gems.

These are gorgeous to colour and although I have not got too creative here you can go to town with them. Sweet Pea stamps is where you will find a stamp for the Haiti relief campaign go and check it out they are great value for money too and mine arrived just over a week after I ordered.

House of Mouse challenge - Multi fold card

Oh children they are so funny. We just popped to the new Tesco express that has opened near us today. Well firstly we saw a member of staff being taken away by the police. We popped over to the hardware store to get me some superglue and as we came out there was a flash of lightning and a bolt of thunder. Well me I am a scaredy pants and my Harry said I'll protect you mummy. I said to him I was frightened of the lightning he said can it kill you like a Dalek Mummy. I said kind of. Anyway he said don't worry mummy I will protect you. Love him!!!

I have had lots of goodies through the post today so I am getting excited about inking things up and playing and getting out my heat gun x

I have made this card for the house of mouse challenge please find details below.

Please click on pictures to enlarge them as I couldn't get it right here.

I have made this card for the house of mouse challenge it is to make a multi fold card. I chose to do a tri shutter fold card ( I found my tutorial here) and it was really fun and actually quite straightforward to do.

I coloured the image with prismacolours and added some white gelly pen and some stickles to the butterfly wings. I used some papers from my stash and I added so Bo Bunny stickers. I also used my cropadile to add some eyelets and ribbons. I am pleased with my first attempt and will use this style again it is really effective. Apologies for the photograpy will try to rectify that next time I use this style.

3 challenges in one card - Introducing Oli Owl

A really good day today, well kind of, the kids are still full of naughtyness must be about to be very ill that is usually the reason. I however managed to find time to hit the sketchbook and perfect my third digital doodle. I have done two others but they are part of some DT work so I will not be able to share as yet. I am doing this for fun but if there is any interest who knows where it could go.

This little owl is called Oli (short for Oliver or Olivia) I have used it on this card for three challenges.

Firstly I resized Oli and printed off twice as I wanted to add dimension to the image. I coloured in Oli with promarkers and sakura stardust pen. I layered the feathers and the wings twice. I added some gems to the swirls on Oli.

I created a flower using some stamps and inks and promarker pen. I then layered them to make a flower to which I added my embellishments of a bow, button and roses. I used some MME freebie paper and some ribbon from the stash. I used a border punch and a flourish stamp to create the panel upon which Oli and the flower are sitting. I stamped the letters and cut them out as tiles to add a sweet sentiment.

Please let me know what you think of Oli x

Winter Wonderland - chocolate, satsuma and gold

Good Morning a very Happy Valentines day and chinese new year to you all. We at Winter Wonderland are of course still in the midst of Christmas so why don't you join us. This week the theme is a colour theme based on a christmas stocking. We would love you to use chocolate, satsuma and gold in your projects.

I used some inks to create a background onto which I stamped a sentiment. I cut this out with my nesties and framed with some more nesties. I over stamped with snowflakes. I used some ribbon from my stash and some basic grey paper and some MMe paper and some cardstock which I punched a border into. I added some stickles and some faux stitching. I added a papermania christmas stamp onto the label nesties at the back. I really enjoyed how the colours stretched the imagination a little bit.

There is a fantastic prize on offer from The Cutting Cafe . Three digital image collections. We look forward to seeing what you create.

It has been a while.......

Hi there it has been a while since I made an atc and a mixed media atc at that. I am joining in Something completely different which this month has a theme of atc's this week the added theme is wings. Well the kids have been driving me bonkers and I have had to ban the Wii for half term, there loss not mine should of listened the first time. They will have to learn the hard way. Jimmy is not home from work yet and I have been cleaning all morning so, I have done four loads of washing too. I have been catching up on a week of not getting anything done. Hoping to get to town for Chinese New Year with any luck tomorrow.

Anyway enough of my doom here is my atc. I made a background using my inkibilities, I then over stamped with a flower stamp from clarity stamps. I used a digi image from my vintage graphics collection by crafty computer papers. I also used a butterfly from the same CD to make my wings. I sprayed them with glitter spray. I then overstamped some smaller butterflys and some postmarks. I added two gems and handwrote my sentiment. I enjoyed the change from cutesy and will definately be doing loads more.

Hello lacking a bit of mojo at the moment and heart for my art :(

Not sure if it is the weather or just the time of year but my Mojo is seriously low this past week. I keep sitting at my craft table wanting to create but just not finding any inspiration. It maybe that the shift in my partners hours has caught up with me. I applied for a few DT's and failed to get on any. I understand that there is fierce competition but you still get that feeling of rejection we are only human. Oh gosh I think I am being far to open with my feelings here. However this is a blog to express how I am feeling and my artwork. If I offend you in any way hugest apologies but apparently I do easily offend people in real life. I tend to think I am just being open and honest and it is those people putting on an act. I like to think the latter.

So anyway I have made a card from an image I coloured with prismas and sakura gelly pen last weekend. The image is Popcorn bear from the new romance range. The papers are also from the CD rom. They are by Crafters Companion. It is for the Simon Says Stamp challenge which has a photo for inspiration and for Totally Papercrafts which has a recipe to follow 3 embellies, 2 Papers and 1 image.

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR OTHER POSTS. THIS POST WILL REMAIN HERE UNTIL 06/02/10. HUGS PASCALE X

I love digis DT entry using Sketch Saturday

Hi I have made a card for a new blog called I love digi's they are having a DT call and I thought as the way forward for me at the moment is digital images, papers and scrapbooking that I would enter. Check out the blog already it has gained 8 sponsers which is a fabulous compliment to the blog. I have linked the blog here and you can find a link in my sidebar.

I had a lovely compliment yesterday a friend for whom I made a card told me how she had brought a frame to frame it and put it in her daughters bedroom. I was really touched as it just makes crafting even more worthwhile when you know others are receiving as much pleasure from it as you.

I had to buy this gorgeous image by Elizabeth Bell released today. It is her second digital image and I adore it.

I used pastel tones as I wanted to use the MME papers that I got free in cardmaking and papercraft. I used prisma colours to colour and I used some flowers from Wild Orchid crafts .

I have used the fabulous sketch from Sketch Saturday .
