For Sanity's sake!!!!

Hello there I know, I should be packing but had to stop and make a card just to keep me sane!!!!!! I made this card for the first challenge over at Anyone for Anya challenge . The first theme on this new challenge blog is Sugar and spice and all things nice. I decided to use lots of my favourite things. One of my favourite colour combo's is blue and brown. I love my minds eye papers at the moment. I love using lots of techniques and different mediums this card including acohol inks which I used for the homemade background, promarkers for the skin and watercolours for everything else. I used my current favourite Anya this lovely limited edition Hippy Anya. I used stickles another current favourite item. I used some prima flowers who does not love these. My final favourite thing was the Martha Stewart doily lace punch.
Well thanks girls for the chance to enter your wonderful new challenge. Might not see you next couple of weeks as the internet will be down whilst I am movingx

Winter Wonderland - By Candlelight

Hi again everyone well went shopping for the school shoes yesterday I'll need three pairs this time around eeek. Max is growing fast so make that four and they cost so much when you buy fitted ones!!!!!! Woop Woop I have a moving date next Wednesday so excited cannot express to you how excited I am!!!!!
Today at Winter Wonderland we want to see you use candles in your projects. So you can decorate a candle, use a candle on your card even make a candle.
I made this card for the challenge. I have no stamps with candles on so I made some drawn by hand and coloured in with promarkers and sakura white gel pen. I also added some stickles to the flames. I then used two of my house mouse christmas stamps to make the picture more cute and interesting. The papers are my minds eye (adore these at the moment). I punched out some stars from paper and added some stickles for sparkle and arranged under the image and added a faux hanging line.
Can't wait to see what you all come up with apologies if I do not get to visit you as you know we are still awaiting a date to move so it is very hetic here at the moment.

Basic Grey Challenge - Colour challenge

The Basic grey challenge is in it's second week following it's revamp. This week they are asking us to use specific colours. The colours are pink, brown and a creamy yellow. I love this combination. I did not use basic grey papers I used papermania papers and I used basic grey stamps from various gamma sets. I made a multipurpose card and kept it very simple. Thanks for stopping by and for all your lovely comments all are really appreciated x

Just Magnolia - Rach's sketch

I have made this for the Just Magnolia challenge which is Rach's stunning sketch. I had such fun working this one thanks Rachx. I used my Tilda with her kitten for this one and it kind of evolved whilst I made it. I watercoloured her as I am enjoying working with this medium at the moment. I then decided I wanted her seated in a window so I cut one out with my nesties. I stamped a high hopes farm stamp and created the view from the window. I made the flower with my nesties and a brad. I used some boxer paper from Basic grey and added stitching and a rub on sentiment.
A tad fustrated as I have no news of a date still. I had a sleepless night with Max and his teething seems endless. Nevermind got the weekend to look forward to x

Cute Card Thursday challenge - Lazy Dayz

This week the challenge at Cute card Thursday is to make a card inspired by summer. Well I know where I would love to have spent my summer, in Hawaii, (preferably oogling Matthew Fox filming Lost.)
I have made this card using my Hula Anya and I have coloured her with Watercolours except for the skin which is promarkers. I made the background with watercolours to. I matted and layered and then made my sentiment using a rub on and some stamps by Simon says stamp. The flower I made using a tutorial by Michelle at Passion for promarkers . I hope you like it it makes me smilex

ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Breath....thats better ,well it is not really!!!!! I am livid I am here washing and drying my clothes and doing my best Dot Cotton impersonation getting ready for my move. Anyway Jimmy comes home from work and we are enjoying our pie and mash for lunch when my eldest daughter comes in and says there is a drip coming from the light switch. Well in we go and our bathroom has become a wet room for the millionth time!!!!! Jimmy goes upstairs bless him and knocks...no answer as usual!!!! I have rung the council and they are going to make our electrics safe. The neighbours are leaseholders who rent out the flat and are very mananna in attitude so Lord only knows when our leak will cease. Electrician has just come and he was worried about the amount of water coming out and so he went up and still couldn't get an answer.
Well onto more pleasant issues.....cardmaking. Couldn't resist Simon says stamp challenge and Creative Card crew challenge this week. Both want us to do Christmas in August. No problem for me I love Christmas all year around.
I used some glimmer mists to create a background Timeless lilac and Pearl and dabbed with a scrunched up piece of paper. I then stamped on a row of paperartsy trees. I also stamped some more paperartsy trees onto some Basic grey Eva papers cut them out and added stickles. I stamped on the Season's greetings sentiment again Paperartsy and made a tag.

Three challenges in one card!

Hi there I had a nice weekend. Saturday we went to the Horniman Museum which is local and really child friendly. On the Sunday we went over to Covent Garden, Hamleys (just looking) and to Leicester Square. We went to the cheap promarker shop to get another pack for my daughter. She was buying them with her money but the lady said I had to purchase them as they contained alcohol lol. I resisted and brought nothing.
I have made this card with three challenges in mind. The first challenge is Papertake weekly a fab sketch by Dawny P. I love Dawny's sketches. I used the theme from Stamptacular Sunday which is to include a bear on your project. I used Popcorn bear. The final challenge is creatalicious challenge which is to create a card for your father as they are celebrating fathers day next month in Australia.

Winter Wonderland - Home for the Holidays

Hello well another week closer to christmas and another week of summer gone. Over here in England it has been an awful summer. We managed to get out to a local museum yesterday that has the most gorgeous gardens that the kids love to run around in. It has the most stunning views of London too. We are in South East London but you can see all the way to Wembley arch.
I have made this card as my DT card for Winter Wonderland challenge blog . I used my messy rabbit stamps by Joanna Sheen. I stamped my baggy jumper messy rabbit and masked him. Then I stamped the house and postbox. I used promarkers to colour in the image and added flowersoft as snow. I thought this image symbolised all those people who come home for christmas to spend time with families. The theme is "home for the holidays".
This week we have Janneke joining us as our Guest designer so be sure to check out her gorgeous creation and the rest of the Design Team you will not be disappointed. You can find links to their blogs over on the Winter Wonderland blog.

Thank God for cards!

Hi everyone feeling a little bit jaded as I have sorted everything and have been left in limbo by the housing association as to when we will move. I can obviously refine the sorting but currently have lost the heart. I want to say a quick sorry for being a bit slack in commenting I haven't forgotton you all and it is my favourite thing about blogging.
I have managed to get some cardmaking done to cheer myself up. Here is one card for the Just Magnolia challenge . The challenge is to make a card based on the theme friendship. I wanted to use the my new humming bird image. I am not sure I am entirely satisfied with this one.
The second one is for the Colour create challenge . The theme is summer and the colours are sand, blue, silver and black. I used my Simon says stamp stamps for the background and the Miss Anya is from the greeting farm.

The Sugar Bowl - Judy's sketch and homemade flowers

I made this card for the sugar bowl challenge using this beautiful Leanne Ellis stamp from sugar Nellie. I cut out the image she is supposed to be holding a rose but I left that out and put it onto the oval which is coloured with watercolour pencils and then I stamped onto it a flower that I got in a lucky bag from funkykits . I used papermania papers and some cardstock for the layers. I watercoloured parts of the backing paper. I then made my flowers from the same flower that I stamped onto the oval, flowers cut from the backing papers and a free stamp from craft stamper. I added stickles for extra glisten. I also added this greeting farm sentiment. Image is coloured with promarkers.

Whiff of Joy - Pink and Brown

Hello had a great night out but suffered the consequences!!!!! Just as I was leaving the Housing association rang to say that the move has been delayed as the property is not complete. So we are on hold waiting a new date.
I made this for the Whiff of joy challenge which is to use pink and brown. The papers are minds eye.

Passion for promarkers meets Creative card crew

Hello there everyone, I have had a really lazy day I just couldn't summon up the energy to sort stuff out. I have one son at a sleepover and the others have been occupying themselves so I made a card for two challenges. I am off out to meet an old university friend for drinks and a meal in the West End tonight so I have dyed the grey hair and I am off to have a soak in the bath shortly before applying lots of make-up. Not sure where we are going to eat but we are going to go and ogle at the plinth in Trafalgar square. Poor Jimmy he has to look after the teething ( horrendously) monster. My youngest daughter is off for lunch with her best friend tomorrow boy has she gone on about seeing her all holidays. They are inseperable bless them.
I used an image from Pink Gems for my card I received in an RAK. I used papermania papers and the flowers are as stamp by the greeting farm as is the sentiment. The charm is from a local craft store.
Oops nearly forgot to tell you which challenges i made it for. Creative Card crew want us to include princesses on our cards and Passion for promarkers want us to use Rose and Cocoa as our main colours.

An award from the lovely Lynda!

I received this award from the lovely Lynda who if you have not visited yet you must she has the most amazing blog with the most creative ideas. I am so proud to receive it from her.
I am going to pass it to some lovely ladies who inspire me in life and crafting.

A real quick post as I made this card for Friday sketchers this evening. I am gearing myself up for a busy weekend of sorting and packing and making lists! I am a novice at this moving malachy I have lots of buddies though who are all giving me help.
I used my Magnolia stamp for the main image I used minds eye papers, love these at the moment. I added faux stitching a couple of sentiments and some gems coloured with PM's to match the scheme.

Just Magnolia

I know i should be knee deep in mess trying to pack but I can't seem to find the will today so I am going to leave it for the weekend. I did do the top of the wardrobe earlier so at least I achieved something!

Truely Scrumptious - Mina's sketch and bling!

Good evening folks. I have had another jam packed day. Started clearing the kids room today in the morning, ready to pack. Cannot believe how much rubbish I have got rid of!!!!! I then had to get over to St thomases for my youngest son to go to the chest clinic. Great news it is all clear!!!!! So happy!!!! Jimmy met me from work and we went to the park in the grounds of Lambeth Palace for an hour, he had to have his ears syringed.
I made some me time and made this as I know the next couple of weeks are going to be short on me time!!!! Some of you have asked how I manage to still fit in some craft stuff, if I didn't I would be sectioned I need to have a craft fix to feel complete.Just sorry I cannot visit you all as this does take a lot of time. Once I am back to normality I will visit you all again more often!
Onto the card enough rambles. I made this for the Truely Scrumptious challenge which was to use Mina's lovely sketch and a bit of bling. Teri my Winter Wonderland Team mate sent me some Gorjuss girl three images so I used this one to make my card. I added stickles as my bling and some gems. Papers are doodlebug and K&co.

3 challenges in one!

Due to the move i am having to condense my challenges into one card. Grrr less playing for me. I needed to relax after all the decluttering so I have made this card for 3 challenges.
I have entered it for sketch and stash for which I used the sketch and my new Sarah Kay stamp. For the Papertake weekly challenge I thought the minds eye papers are "spring" fresh as is the image. I incorporated these flowers for the floral fantasy challenge at A spoonful of sugar.
Gotta dash more packing and sorting to be done oh and catalogue searching.

2 challenges one card!!!

What a morning we have received our date to sign the tenancy and it is next Thursday and we will get the keys so I have been decluttering which in our house is a humumgous job!!!!! I am trying to make things into piles so when I pack the boxes it will be all craft stuff in one box, books in another etc. I got the kids involved as when I get to their room they are gonna have to chuck some stuff too. Me and Jimmy have been arguing over what to take and not take. I want a completely new start so I want to be brutal he on the otherhand is not being so easygoing about it. I am gonna post this and get back to it.
This card is for two challenges , Passion for promarkers and Simon Says Stamp challenge . I have used my new Magnolia stamps from the animal collection. I must say I am chuffed with this buy they are gorgeous. I have used my elephant as I wanted to use my new warm grey promarkers. I also used jungle Edwin and the stunning background stamp. I used a lot of different colours to colour in my image. I layered up the elephant and Edwin to create more depth to the image.
I used archaic basic grey papers and I used some jute some buttons and ribbons from my stash for the Simon says challenge and a charm from the stash. I used the super sketch by Michelle at Passion for promarkers who are giving us free rein in colour choice this week.

What a lovely day I had with friends !!!!!!!

Hello firstly thank you all for the lovely congratulations commments I loved reading each and everyone.
What a week got a new flat and met two of my bestest blogging buddies. Had a fantastic time Lorraine and Joey and Sydney!!!! Only thing missing was scoopy! We met in Covent Garden this morning and Lorraine took us to a shop near Leicester square that sells packs of Promarkers for £4.50. It also sells singles so I got some warm greys. My daughter got her first pack of Promarkers and two pinks for flesh tones.
We then caught a bite to eat and a coffee and we went to Trafalgar Square for a sneek peek at the plinth. I got a lovely card made by Joey and written by Sydney with the most beautifully coloured in imagex
Only one person missing from the photo and that is Georgina who is taking the photo with my phone. Oh and Ray and Amy as they turned up later.

The Sugar Bowl

This is my card for the sugar bowl challenge. I used K&co papers which i distressed with tattered rose distress inks. I coloured my beautiful image with promarkers. I decoupaged her to make her stand out more. I then added a ribbon and made a floral embellishment. The sentiment is by elusive images. I just thought it suited the image. I just realised that the extra element to the challenge is doodling. I added a dot to each cheek but if this does not count I understand. I adored the sketch Thanks Marlene.
I was really happy making this card and I am starting to enjoy the distressed modern look.
Jimmy has taken the kids out for a while as they were beginning to get stressful being cooped up too long is not good for them. He is certainly the bestest partner in the world!!!!

Winter Wonderland

Hello the weather is certainly looking a lot brighter here in London today. My partner is at work as we are off to view the flat tomorrow so he has to work today to make up for it.
I am posting my DT card for Winter Wonderland . I really enjoyed looking at all the wonderful decorations that were created. So much inspiration out there. The theme at Winter Wonderland is "Winter Wonderland". So we would like to see you create your own christmas scenes.
I made my card using a square of silkcard that I masked off and added alcohol inks to create a sky. I then added my trees ( elusive images) I added some holly like a bush in one corner and stamped my snowmen (coloured with copics and promarkers) seperately and used adhesive to attatch them to the scene. I used Annes sketch for the challenge but this is optional. I added some homemade holly leaves and gems as finishing touches.
I am looking forward to seeing all the marvellous creations again this week. Thanks for taking the time to lookx

Sketch Saturday

Hi my second new Sarah Kay image came out for this sketch saturday . I adore her she is gonna be used quite a lot. I also used my Alota armchair for her to sit on. I used Basic grey papers. I coloured the images with promarkers and copics and then decoupaged them. I added a sentiment and some faux stitching. We are not doing much today we are going to a local funday and chilling.
