Diamonds Are Forever

Hello I am just a bit late posting this today. I have been a work and then volounteering for an old peoples group. I am excited to show you this DT piece for the Delicious Doodles Challenge. This week in honour of the Jubilee we have a theme called "Diamonds Are Forever" so get your bling on!

This week I decided to create a couple of Smash pages using the gorgeous Vintage Spitfire from Teri's   SHOP .  We took the kids to see the HMS OCEAN which is the navy ship that will act as a military base over the Olympics. This is a little collage of how the day went. I thought the Vintage spitfire was perfect for these pages. I used my own Digital Craft Kit called Rule Brittania for the backing papers and the sentiments. This week my digital stamp company Gr8 Crafts 4 U is sponsoring the challenge.

I used a smash ticket to journal about the day. Finally I added some bling swirls.

Challenges I am entering are

Charisma Cards Challenge - No Flowers Allowed
Playdate Cafe - Colour inspiration

Thanks for stopping by today I really appreciate your time and comments. I hope you are inspired too. Hugs Pascale

Felt Dragon

Hello I have been locked in my room creating this dragon for my 4 year old son for the last two days. I created the pattern from some inspiration I found online and some other creatures I had created. It has been a learning curve but all for the right reasons. I has fun making it and learned lots of techniques whilst in the process.

I used some orange and red felt and cut out all the appropriate bits. I then stitched together the relevant pieces using blanket stitch. I added some stuffing and I added some stitched detail to the face.
I hope you like him as much as I do. I went for cute over ferocious. More Pete's Dragon (a favourite film of mine).
I would love to know what you think and please look out for more of my creations using felt I am really inspired to use  my sewing needle now xxx

Lil Larry and Lil Lilly Jubilee

Hi there I am just sharing this creation I made today with you all. This card is made using the newest release from Gr8 Crafts 4 U called Lil Larry and Lil Lilly Jubilee.
I made the card by using my graphics program to create the image. I flipped Lil Lilly so she is facing the other way. I created a crowd in the background and used a circle to frame. I thought it resembles a scene from the Olympic or Jubilee celebrations.

I coloured in with promarkers and flexmarkers. The card is glossy. I added some bunting and backed onto black card.

I am entering the following challenges

Freebie for Twit Twoo!!!

Good Morning I hope you are all having a great Monday!!! I am just getting prepared to go to the school to discuss a new approach to my daughters learning. She has DCD (Developmental Co-ordination Disorder) and Sensory Intergration problems. I had confirmation last week that they will be carrying out a Literacy assessment by a specialist in dyslexia. Today I am meeting with the Educational Psychologist and her teachers.

Enough about me here are some sentiments for you. They are quite large if you just print out the page so when I printed it out I used them as two A5 sheets to get them to a size appropriate for a 6 by 6 square card.

I have made this card using the sentiment "Have a Hoot" and Twit Twoo Orla from my latest digital stamp release at Gr8 Crafts 4 U. I created the DP using Serif Software and then coloured Twit Twoo Orla in with promarkers and spectrum noirs. I then decoupaged the eyes and the wings and the heart on her head. I coloured in the sentiment with my alcohol pens to match my image.

I am  entering the following challenges

Craft Your Days Away - All Creatures Great and Small
Crafty mess Challenge - Pink and cute (Anything Goes)
CES Challenge - Anything Goes Last ever challenge (Good Luck for the future)

Please grab these freebies to use on your Owl Projects. I have some Owl canvases to finish that I will be sharing shortly with you. I hope to do a picture tutorial about how I make my canvas art, this week too.

Have a Gr8 Crafting day!!!

Twit Twoo Orla and Oliver

Hello I am just stopping by with news of a new release over at Gr8 Crafts 4 U. This was inspired by my daughter who is learning about "The Owl Babies" at school. Her friends do not believe that I am an Artist so I have made this bookmark for her to take into class to show them that I designed the owl and coloured it in with Prismacolour pencils, spectrum noirs and promarkers.

These two cuties are available to buy at Gr8 Crafts 4 U.  They are called Twit Twoo Orla and Twit Twoo Oliver. If you keep looking I am going to offer some Owl sentiments as a freebie this week too. You can see one of these on the book mark. I added the Twit Twoo to Orla she comes with no sentiment on her.

I am entering the following challenges with this bookmark.

One Stitch at A Time Challenge - Use your Favourites I used my Graphics programme which I really could not live without to create this bookmark and my alcohol pens
Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge - Animals, Birds or Bug I used my new Owl digi's.

Sneaky Peak of "Fae" from Delicious Doodles

Hello I hope you are all getting some sunshine where you are. We have it on and off here in London and it is still cold when it disappears behind a cloud.

I made this canvas using a STUNNING image that will be released at Delicious Doodles this week. She is a Fairy called "Fae" and I think she is so pretty. I decided to make a canvas so I printed the image and then used the Modge Podge Technique to get the image to transfer to canvas. This time though I did not colour the image first. I also did not rub the paper away completely so I could use my Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour. I also did not size my image correctly so I had to use some artistic license and I had to extend the image over the canvas. I added some crystal glitter and some acrylic varnish to protect the image. The canvas has been delegated to youngest daughter already.

Keep an eye on the store for her release she is pure joy to colour and makes a stunning focal point to any creation.

Challenges I am entering are

So Artful Challenge - Fairies or Butterlys with Yellow ,orange and Turquoise
Glitter Geeks - Wings and Things
Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes

Try Something New

Hello the sun is shining yay!!!! I am here to share a canvas I have made for the Delicious Doodles Challenge. This week we have a bit of a scary challenge. It was to try something that we have not done before. We allow less than perfect entries (that includes my DT piece). I chose to do a canvas using a Mixed Media Technique.

I used Friends Forever from the Delicious Doodles Store. I love this image so so much. I coloured the image with promarkers and flexmarkers. I prepared the canvas by adding a layer of design papers. I then painted over with two different colours of acrylic paint. Next I prepared my image by adding a nice layer of Modge Podge to the coloured side of the image. I put it onto the canvas when the paint was completely dry. I then left it overnight to dry. I dabbed my fingers into water and rubbed the paper away from the image this takes a  little while but you get a lovely transfer once you have finished. I added a handmade beaded embellishement and some leaves.

I loved this technique and I will be using it lots in the future. I hope you have fun experimenting.

Thanks for stopping by today I really appreciate your time and comments. I hope you are inspired too. Hugs Pascale

Say A Little Prayer

Hello I hope your week is not too wet and windy as it is here in London!!! I am just sharing a project I was assigned by a friend from church. She asked if I could make a prayer box for one of our church community projects. So I kindly obliged and here it is... xxx

I used a box that once contained trainers. I decided to use some Basic Grey papers which I used modge podge to stick on and then I painted around and over the papers with a bright orange acrylic paint. Next I got some verses from Bible Gateway about Prayer flipped them into reverse so I could make a transfer and then printed them  out. I cut them to size and then added some modge podge. I stuck to my box and let dry. I then dipped my thumb into water and rubbed over the top of the paper and gradually rubbed it away until it  left the text.

I made some paper flowers using My Craft Studio Paper Flower expert. I added them to the box in little clusters.

I am entering the following challenges with my Prayer Box
Just Keep Creating  - Anything Goes
sisterhood of crafters - May Flowers

So close to my heart ....!!!

My beautiful daughter Bradie suffers with a hidden specific learning disorder called Developmental co-ordination Disorder (Dyspraxia). It is one of the SLD that not much is known about by the general public. I have been having a tough time this week with some issues surrounding the disorder so I decided to SMASH a page on it as some cathartic therapy xxx

I used a gorgeous DP from My Paper Stash quintessential garden. I then cut out some pictures and phrases from magazines that reflect this SLD. I added a frame in green card. I then coloured in a Whiff of Joy stamp from my stash which is the close to my heart bit. I added some journalling tags made using correction fluid and pen and some pearls.

Challenges I am entering are

Stampin Royalty - Scrapbooking

Smashed!!!!

I have been following a new craze for a little while and I wanted to start  doing it myself and this is my first attempt at Smash. I brought an art journal rather than the smash book as I will get more economy from it.

I basically took an MME frame and two embellishments and glued to the page. I then drew My Life in bubble letters. I zentangled inside the frame. I added some faux sentiment tags that I drew with a fineliner and a promarker pen. I then added lots of texts I then used one of Teri's Delicious Doodle images Black Pearl.

I am entering the Macabre Monday challenge which is to CASE a Minion. I cased my boss at Delcious Doodles Teri . I used black and purple as she did for her card and the beautiful Black Pearl image.
