What a week...

Hi there I am bushed I have had a very traumatic week. My partner went to the doctors  Wednesday last week with an earache. He then was told to take the ibropufen and co codomol that he was taking. Then the pain still remained so he went to the doctors again last Friday and was told it is wax. So he carried on with the pain relief. Sunday he was twitching in pain so I sent him to casualty where they said it is an ear infection and perscribed antibiotics. Come Sunday night he was shaking violently so I rung an ambulance. He was told to wait for the meds to kick in. Monday he shook violently again and he I took him to the doctors to be told that there was not much they could do. So between Monday -  Wednesday ( my birthday) the pain has progressed to his head and then I have had to send him to Casualty again. He came home with new antibiotic, Diazepam and a stronger codiene. He  was shaking profusely again. I felt he must go to the doctors again so  we went. The Doctor couldn't explain the shaking and I suggested it was the codeine he looked it up and said it was a rare side effect but yes it could be.
He has such a bad headache so I have sent him to the hospital with a friend tonight as I have to stay with the kids. Please if you pray, pray he will find out what is happening to him.
This is why I am so late posting this on my blog. It is my DT card for The Crafty Purple Frog Challenge. Our challenge is Distressing. I distressed the edges o f the invertage available from the shop. I also added some distressing to the DCWV paper and I used my cricut Princess Rock to make the Rebel part of the sentiment. The other sentiment is from Sweet Pea Stamps. There are some fabulous cards from the amazing DT and some fab prizes on offer. So visit the challenge for more details. Sorry to be so quick but time is short this week xxx

Transvision Vamp

Hiya again! Managed to make this card today I was nearly not going to make it as today has been all about back tracking grrrr... !!! I am entering it into CES Challenge which has a theme of no DP.
I used two images from the marvellous Delicious Doodle Shop. The reason I love Teri's images is that she does such a range from cute to dark and lots inbetween.
The main image called Dark Valentine I played with in my graphics program. I want
ed her to be softer and the trick I used worked perfectly for this. I used the AUTOTRACE feature to create a different look. I loved how she was made so much softer and almost angelic. I added a small dash of flesh colour and some sakura stardust to her.
The frame I made by copying and pasting the fantastic Loving Corner image. It is so pretty. I then added Sakura Stardust pen to it and cut out.
I had so much fun playing this afternoon to create this one.

Something other than a card... baby booties

Hi there I have branched out my love of crafting to try some knitting. I taught myself to knit with needles a while back but never really enjoyed it. I found patterns too confusing and my tension was crap. So when I saw the authentic wooden knitting boards on Create and craft I had to get one. I brought the tadpole to see if I really would enjoy it and have ordered a 28" board now. I have made two scarfs with the tadpole and these little booties for a teacher who has just had a baby girl.
Hope you are all having a great Sunday. I had to send my partner to casualty he went to the doctors twice this week with severe ear pain and they both said to just take pain relief and put olive oil in his ear. He was twitching like a drug addict on cold turkey with pain so I said to him go to casualty today. He came back it was an ear infection. I have just told him to go to bed and catch up on his sleep. So I am trying to get some DT bits and pieces completed around looking after the kids so much for the crafty Sunday I wanted LOL xxx

Not perfect but I am dead chuffed with them ...

Oh my the heavens well and truely opened here in South London just during the school run. I have been home and hour and can still feel damp patches. I made this card yesterday but did have time to post it on here so I am doing it now while the kids are eating dinner. They are all shouting ice-cream at me so I am shouting back in a minute. LOLxxx
Here is my challenge card for two challenges of which you can find details of beneath the card.

Delicious Doodles Challenge DT card - Tricolour theme

Hi there again back with my second DT card of the day. Over at the wonderful Delicious Doodles Challenge we have a wonderful theme for you all. It is choose a tricolour scheme for your card or project. Hmmm we were a little stumped by what this might be too. It is to choose three colours (and you can use flesh colour tones too) and stick to these colours only on your card.

I chose Yellow, Green and White for my card. I used the fantastic Wistful Fairy from the shop! She is so, so pretty. I love her. She is a dream to colour and to embellish too. I used promarkers and sakura pens. I decoupaged her too to add some dimension.

I added some gems to the image and I added some punched butterflies. The papers are from the Valentine Rose collection over at Pascale's PAD.

Sweet Pea Stampers DT card

Hello there I feel all refreshed I managed to go out with some girlfriends for a few white wine spritzers last night. It was a much needed couple of hours as things have been a bit all over the place since Christmas xxx It is amazing what a bit of childfree time does for us SAHM.

Enough about me time to show you a card. This one is from the gorgeous Meredith Dillman collection over at Sweet Pea Stamps. I used her to make my DT card for the Sweet Pea Stampers challenge which has a theme of "All White apart from the image".

I stamped her onto glossy card and then coloured her with promarkers and sakura pen. When the ink was completely dry I buffed it. I made a frame using my EK success punch. I decided on an easel card for this image. I added some ribbon and punched some butterflies and maded a butt with the same EK success punch as the frame. If you are a Sweet Pea lover I hope you can join in the fun and if you don't yet own any Sweet Pea Stamps there is a chance to get some over on the challenge blog.

In a Sweet Pea Dream - Under The Sea

Hi there bloggers I am a little bit all over the place at the moment. My partners hours this week have been chopped and changed and I don't know if I am coming or going.

Last night I just decided to spend an hour of quality time crafting and made this card for In a Sweet Pea Dream challenge who have a theme "Under the Sea".

I used the gorgeous Ching Chou Kuik stamp called Radiant Butterfly you can buy her HERE! I coloured her with promarkers, copics, and Sakura pens. I then created a circle to mount her onto. I used my EK success punch to cut out two different papers and to create a wave like effect. I then used a Martha Stewart punch to cut out the foilage that frames the cirlce. I added some roses for a finishing touch.

The sentiment is from Ching Chou Kuiks The Moth which you can find HERE! All the papers I used are from my own blog shop Pascale's PAD they are from the Spring Colours 2011 Collection Teal/ Brown.

1970's Retro for Mo's Challenge

Hi there I have been so quiet this year sorry to be so quiet. Since I have hurt my back I have lost a bit of my mojo for card crafting. I have knitted two scarfs though and started some booties for two newborns. The first time I have followed a pattern. I find that really hard following patterns, instructions and rules.  I am a bit of  a throw it all together and see what happens chick.
I have been catching up with the cleaning that got neglected too. I invested in a Little Yello Steam cleaner and it is now my bestest friend. We spend  at least 45 minutes together a day but boy has the Housework become so much more fun xxx
I am entering this card into the fantabulous Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge. I love this challenge as I get to colour amazing images. This week their theme is "Going Retro". My partner and I often wish we were the age we are now in our favourite era the 1970's. I love glamrock, ABBA, hippies, peace, love, bra burning and political incorrectness!
So this is a little card reflecting the patterns of the 1970's. I am loving this colour combo at the moment too so sorry to be repetitive.
The image is Pug Love I love this image oh I love all Mo's images. I wanted to use Wonderful Day her latest release but of course I have run out of printer ink so couldn't print her even thought I have purchased her. I coloured with promarkers and copics. The papers are DCWV and the ribbon from a grab pack at The Ribbon Girl.

Have you seen Mo's Campaign to get rid of the stamp thieves that lurk here in blogland. If not hop over HERE  grab the banner for your sidebar x

This is my first card of 2011....

Good Morning to you all I hope you are all enjoying 2011! I must say mine so far has been lovely. This is my first card of 2011. It is my DT card for the fabulous Crafty Purple Frog Challenge. This week we are showcasing the wonderful new releases for January as our theme is to use something New on your projects. They are simply stunning. Infact so stunning it was a very hard choice choosing which image to use.
I chose this beauty the Carnation Fairy decoupage. I just think she looks like a fairy princess and I love the colours.
I teamed her with some of my own papers from Pascale PAD which I will release shortly. I used a sentiment from stamps away and some ribbon from my stash. Please check out the challenge where you will find a link to the shop where you can find all the new images. You will love what my fellow DT have created for you too.
