Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge - Punches or die cutting machine!

Hi there well another week has flown by and this week at Digi Doodle shops Best Challenge.

The challenge is to use your punches or any die cutting machine. I went with the die cutting machine option for this card. I used the image Light House available at the Digi Doodle Shop.

I coloured with promarkers and added some sparkle to the sea. I then used my deckled rectangular nestibilities and cuttlebug to punch out the image and a piece of white card to create a frame for the image.

I used some DCWV linen closet paper some card candy from craftworks cards, some ribbon and a button with a string bow to complete the card.

Don't forget the last few days of the sale over at the Digi Doodle Shop lots of bargins to be had and up to 50% off some of the items.

You do not have to use a Digi Doodle Shop image to join in the challenge but if you do you get entered into the draw twice. Looking forward to seein g what you come up with.

Simon says challenge sketch and Jazzlins Designs DT card

This is a card I have made using the wonderful sketch at Simon Says Stamp . I have used the wonderful Belles and Whistles Stamp that Linda sent me with my DT pack from Jazzlins Designs. She is selling it for £6.95 a very reasonable price for this detailed image.  I have made  a frame using some embossing stencils and some white card and lilac ink I added the two heart embellishments which also came with my DT kit. I used Capella Basic Grey papers. I used an embossed piece of card that Linda is also selling at Jazzlins Designs and punched it with my Martha Stewart punch again these are available from Jazzlins Designs. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I coloured the image with promarkers and copics.

Tag You're It - Inchie on a Tag!

Hi there a hetic start to the holidays for us. I picked the kids up on Friday at 12.30 from school and my son was itching his head quite furiously so I had to rush to the chemist and thereafter spend the afternoon delousing him and my three other children. Not a start I would of asked for.
Well yesterday was spent delousing again and we popped to the local park for a play. Today I visited a local farm in East London called Mudchutes Farm. It is 32 acres of Farm set in the centre of London. I loved it!!
Normally we go all the way to Godstone Farm as the kids love it there. I would advise the Mudchute Farm to get funding to build a ball pit and outdoor playarea and they could earn a packet from them. I am not sure they would be allowed as the farm is free and this may be why it gets funds from donations. Still I am sure we would visit regularly if these were in place. It has a riding school too which I was itching to find someone to ask all about as I was a keen horserider in my youth and would love to get back in the saddle.
Anyhow today at Tag You're it! we have a great little challenge for all you taggers. This week we want you to use an inchie on your Tags. This one got the better of me a little as I struggled to think of how I could incorporate an inchie. My fellow DT have produced some real stunners, well done girls.
I used my distress inks to create a background on a piece of  white scrap card. I stamped on some images from my Aspects of design stamps from  The Stampman which I have not used for ages. I then stamped them in a darker shade. I printed one of the images onto a square inch of card using distress inks and glazed with glossy accents. I stamped some of the texts from the set and some are from my texts box. I used my Martha stewart punch to punch a border and used raffia, string ,ribbon and buttons to create detail and added some wine cardstock. I enjoyed the challenge just not too sure if I carried it off as well as  I hoped.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs Pascale x

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hello there it is time for another challenge at Digi Doodle Shops Best Challenge. We have a fantastic theme of "Anything Goes". I love these sorts of themes as it means you can go wild with your creativity.

I visited my friend who has just had her first baby last weekend and this is the card I made for her baby using Judy's gorgeous giraffe image available in the Digi Doodle Shop.

To make the card I made an 8" by 8" card from some A3 cardstock. I then created a box frame using my Simply Silhouettes CD rom by My Craft Studio. The template is on  the CD rom I changed the colour of the template slightly. I then coloured in the gorgeous giraffe with my prisma pencils and sprayed him with a varnish from Crafters Companions.

I embossed some cardstock with a cuttlebug folder and I added some ribbon detail and a pram charm. I then made a customised saying with my xyron design runner and added some more embellishments from Craftworks cards.

I am off to finish my chores as I have friends over for lunch. I have put a close up of the image below. I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Thanks for stopping by Hugs Pascale.

Tag You're it - Black and White and a hint of Gold

Hello another new week and another Tag You're it! I am off out today I am going to visit a friend who has had her first baby. I cannot show you her card as it is for a future DT piece. I have also had a mum at the school give birth this week I have a card set aside for her. She gave birth infront of her decks (she is a DJ) very quickly her partner delivered the baby how amazing is that.

Back to Tag Your're it. We have a theme of Black and White with a hint of gold. I used this image September Rythmn from Sweet Pea Stamps I loved colouring her the first time I have. I used my prisma colours (except for her skin which is a mixture of promarkers and copics.
I embossed some lines around the image to frame her on both the white and the black card. I added some stickles and some embellishments from my stash. The sentiment is made using another Sweet Pea sentiment stamp which I then cut out the letters and added some doodling and some glossy accents too. Quite a simple one from me this week but one I totally adored making. These are my colours in everyday life so it really suited me.

Please join in with us if you have a spare moment or two this week we would love to see your Tags. Thanks for stopping by today too. Hugs Pascale

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge - Use Your Scraps!

Hello there well a busy day ahead. I have my babies at home today as we have school open day. I am off to see how well they are doing at school. My eldest daughter brought home the book that she had her poem published in. Her poem was called " War Again" it is really moving. Unfortunately publishing laws mean I cannot share it here with you. There are only about 12 from there school in the book which features young poets from across London and Middlesex. I am so proud!

Okay this weeks challenge at Digi Doodle shops Best  is to "Use Up Your Scraps". You can make a card, an atc, a tag it is purely your choice. So here is how I made my DT piece for the challenge.

I decided to make a tag as this way I used up scrap card, paper and embellishments. I used some cardstock that was left from making an 8" by 8" card. I cut it into a tag shape. I used some scraps of Linen Closet DCWV paper ( I love this paper so every scrap will get used in one way or another). I added some ribbon, lace and flowers to the tag and a sentiment from my sentiment box.

The image is one of my favourite from the Digi Doodle Shop. It is from the "Fun shoes set # 2". You get three different styles of shoes. You must go and check out the store it has an up to 50% off sale on right now. I coloured the image with promarkers and copics and cut out part of the image to create a slightly different look to the shoe. I added some white gel pen and some glossy accents to make the shoe look patent. I also added some stickles to the flowers for a bit of bling. I attatched the shoe to the tag with some foam pads for dimension.

Thanks for your time today. Please hop over and see our challenge. Hugs Pascale

I cut the image out and fixed to my nestie with foam pads. I coloured with promarkers and copics before cutting out and added some stickles too. I used Basic Grey  Stella Ruby papers they are so lush. I then used my Cuttlebug to emboss some white card to which I had attatched some gold ribbon. I then punched a border with a Martha Stewart Punch. I then used some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to make a bouquet. I used roses and asters. I then added some stickles around them. I made a sentiment with my xyron design runner and I also added some raffia, a button and some string. There are a couple more pictures below. Please let me know if you like it.

Mines a Flake 99 please!!!

Good Morning everyone. Well it is El Scorchio here in London. We are sweltering hot and there are few signs of it cooling down. I am not complaining it is perfect for those of us who cannot afford a holiday abroad as the weather comes to us.

It makes me think of ice creams my favourite being a Flake 99 so I decided to design a digi stamp and use it for my DT tag for Tag You're it! Our theme is "By the Beach". When I am by the beach I am always looking for the ice cream sign so I know where to get my Flake 99. I could of done with one yesterday. We went to the fountains at Tower Bridge to cool off first thing in the morning and watched some of Big Dance 2010. I then came home and took the kids to a great party and had a couple of Vodkas and cranberry juice to cool off.

I coloured my image with promarkers and copics and the background is cosmic shimmers. I used distress ink on the scrap of white cardstock and I added images from a Simon Says Stamp set. I then added some ribbon and a Greeting Farm sentiment.

Hope you like it let me know here. Thanks for your comments and your time today, hugs Pascale

Crafts and Me new stamps

Whoop!!! Whoop!!!! I ordered 3 of the new Molly Harrison and Hannah Lynn images that are part of the new Crafts and me range of stamps. I ordered yesterday morning and they arrived this morning what a service!!!

Okay I had to ink up this Hannah Lynn image although it was hard to choose which to use. I am making this to give to a 5 year old girl at her party. Her mum is Colombian and her father is Pakastani so I thought the dark skin and black hair was perfect for Zara who is mixed race. I kept the colouring very simple added some glamour dust to the wings. I then cut out a circular image and mounted onto a flower nestie. I used MME papers and coredinaitons cardstock for my backing and I used some ribbon and lace from the stash. The flowers I added stickles to. I made some button embellies too.

I am entering this into the  Crafts and Me challenge which is asking us to use Pink, white and black. Magical crafts they are asking us for flower power.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you like what you see Hugs Pascale

Totally Papercraft - One for the girls!

Hello a real quick one as I have to do the school run. I have been to playgroup and inbetween all that I made this. I used a template by Anne Marie Designs available from Jazzlins Designs. I used two different sets of stamps from Digi Doodle shop. I used the clutch purse set currently $1.88 in the sale and you get three different images and I used Fun with shoes 2 set priced at $1.88 in the sale. You also get three images.

I made the window with the template and painted it in acrylic paint. I then traced the template onto a tent fold  card and covered in paper and cut around leaving a fold at the top for the card to stand. I added some ribbon and I then printed the images out real tiny so they would fit in the windows. I coloured with promarkers and copics and added some shiney sprays. I then added some gems. I fixed some acetate to the back of the window and then I adhered to the base card. I also added so me flowers and the gorgeous charm from Quixotic Paperie. The papers are also from here and are MME.

I am entering this into the Totally Papercrafts challenge "one for the girlies" !
